Diamond consumption in China has been through strong growth over the past 5 to 6 years, according to the Diamond Exchange import statistics, China is now the second largest global market after the USA. In 2011, the total diamond import and export trade value peaked at US$4.7 Billion, with an average annual growth of 40%.
